Roll out the red carpet!
From the weird and wacky, to the truly breathtaking, we’ve seen some amazing celebrity guests come together in aid of fantastic causes. And we’ve got to admit, it has sometimes left our team a little star-struck.Â
Here’s some of our favourite celebrity events so far!
Quintessentially Foundation: Fayre of St James
Quintessentially Foundation kicked off the festive season last year with a virtual screening of their 9th annual Fayre of St James’ Carol Concert.
Hosted by national treasure Stephen Fry, this was a truly magical evening of festive fun - all in aid of The Felix Project and The Childhood Trust. Audiences were treated to a myriad of celebrity performances with readings from Jack Whitehall, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Poppy Delevingne to name a few!Â
NPSCC: Trailblazers
In March, Trailblazers went virtual with Clare Balding OBE leading a panel discussion with some of the brightest stars in women's sport.
We were joined by British sprinter Dina Asher-Smith, England footballer Izzy Christiansen and paralympian Stef Reid MBE, for an engaging evening where attendees online could send in their questions and hear all about the challenges facing women’s sport post-covid.
Maggies: Carols in the Kitchen
Maggie’s was spreading the Christmas cheer last year with a free virtual carol concert featuring a stacked line-up of performers and celeb speakers, broadcast from the kitchens in Maggie’s centres across town.
With newsreader Fiona Bruce leading the way, we were treated to some amazing festive readings from Stanley Tucci, Keeley Hawes, James Norton and others - with comedian Sue Perkins leading a hilarious cook-along, with lots of merriment (and cooking wine), for the viewers.
SVP: Tea with the SVP
ITV newscaster Julie Etchingham and acclaimed screenwriter Frank Cottrell-Boyce came together to raise a mug in celebration of the SVP’s birthday in April.
As part of the week long ‘Tea with the SVP’ campaign, the pair joined the SVP’s very own Ken Madine to discuss everything from celebrity crushes (you’ll never guess Julie Etchinghams’!) to creative inspiration - with a live audience sending in their questions online.
The Prince’s Foundation: Christmas Carol Concert
The Prince's Foundation brought us together for an evening of carols and festive music performed by the renowned choir of St Paul’s Knightsbridge in their Christmas Carol Concert last year.
With a special message from the President of The Prince’s Foundation, HRH The Prince of Wales and other celebrity guests, this was a really engaging event that helped raise funds for the fantastic work they do building community across the UK.
