Bell and Company launch Power of 4 campaign
In aid of the NSPCC's Childline Services
Celebrating ChildLine's 35th birthday
Bell and Company are teaming up with NSPCC Northern Ireland for a repeat of their Power of Four campaign, which aims to raise £35,000 for Childline's 35th birthday.
Based on David Goggins “Can’t Hurt Me”, this gruelling challenge sees participants walk/run 4 miles, every 4 hours, right through the night for 48 hours, to cover a total of 48 miles. Now that's what I call a challenge!
Over the past year, we've seen the pandemic taking its toll on the wellbeing of children and young people. Counselling sessions amongst under 11-year-olds are up by nearly a third (28%) and the ChildLine services have seen an 18% increase in sessions relating to emotional abuse.
That's why is challenge is so important. It costs £4 for every call on the ChildLine service, which means if the Power of 4 reaches it's target, we'll have raised enough money to take 8,750 calls from vulnerable children and young adults.
We want to make sure Childline is still here for all children who need support over the next 35 years and more!
